I have a confession to make at the end of this Year, 2015.
I am an addict.
This year has truly been a rollercoaster ride; physically, emotionally, mentally, financially- in every aspect. There were ups and downs and then ups again followed by more downs. To be completely honest with you, there were more obstacles than successes; more stressful days than joy; more lows than highs.
So how do I keep going? I became an addict.
Words like ‘relax’ and ‘rest’ stress me out and make me feel guilty.
I have developed an addiction to that ‘high’ I get from the tiny successful moments, that last less than 5 or so minutes.
Why do I want to share this with you? Because there is no greater feeling of satisfaction than that of achievement.
I don’t have grey hair of wisdom (although that’s kind of a lie since a few strands have turned grey that freaked me out), but never forget to believe in yourself. Believe in yourself, because no one ever achieved anything significant without believing in him/her self and no one ever will.
Believe in yourself powerfully, believe in yourself inflexibly.
Especially when there is no reason left to believe in you; because hitting rock bottom is the best place to start a big bang.
I hope to learn from the mistakes I’ve made from 2015 and be a better person for 2016; for myself, and for DOT. Strive to be a better person and you will continuously grow from within.
Having said that, you and I are one people woven together in a tapestry, and the more threads are added, the more colourful and bright the picture becomes. I just want to thank YOU for being a part of my picture.
Let’s celebrate being a part of each other.
With that, I wish you all a joyful holiday season with your family, friends and loved ones and a very happy new year!
