I know it has been quite a while since my last post. I wanted to have a clearer picture before giving you any updates.
Let’s dive into it.
As some of you may know, we had signed agreements with a headset vendor to collaborate and achieve DOT’s core mission; help children with mental disorders.
Sadly a few months back, their reorganization completely changed the game for us; they backed off.
I will not lie, I panicked initially- I became sick to the core; it’s been a constant struggle over a year now and things were just about to get worst. I went on lock down and started researching headsets, headset vendors, studying neural time series data analysis- any and every paper related to EEG signal processing.
I reached out to a world-renowned specialist in the field for advice. He made me realize that we didn’t need an off-the-shelf device; we would MAKE our own. The best part; he offered to be our manufacturer.
Every cloud truly does have a silver lining.
This changes a few things for us, and puts us a little behind our initial schedule but we promise to make it worth it. We are constantly meeting with children to deliver a solution in a way they would best understand.
On another positive note, I would also like to mention that Nael Jazar, a professional gaming developer, has joined DOT’s team.
Welcome Nael, we wish to achieve great things together!
There is more good news coming up; I will keep you posted in next month’s newsletter.
Leave you with something to think about,
There are no boundaries to our thoughts, no walls around our imagination, no limitations to what could be; expect those we create for ourselves.
Happy Monday!
